JME documentation - JME molecular editor "how to use" page. Describes structure (reaction) drawing features.
BullZip PDF Printer - nice PDF printer to create your own searchable PDF documens from any programs.

A few words about how to deal with your own reaction file.

Normally, there are three forms to manage data within your "*.rdf" file:
  • edit.htm
  • view_mol.htm
  • view_rxn.htm

The "edit.htm" form is intended to allow user to proceed such record operations as save, insert, delete, add along with the reaction and other data edition.

The "view_*.htm" forms are to have read-only access to the file. It is for printing, copy/paste, reading and presentation purposes also. You may print a page to searchable PDF (using one of many known pdf printers) or directly to your printer, copy data fields with pictures of the reactions or structures to different applications (for example, MS-Ofiise Excel, Word).

While printing from "view_*.htm" forms, please, check print prevew first. It may be needed to correct page margins. An image with reaction may be too wide for the page.

    Using "edit.htm" form

    - "CLEAR" button, just clears all the fields doing nothing with your "rdf" file. Use it when you are going to edit and then save (or add, or insert) a new record. Be carefull pressing "SAVE" button (see how "save" button functions)!

    - "DELETE" button, deletes current record;

    - "SAVE" button, updates current record and nothing else! Look at current record number in the navigation footer of a page. This button is not to add a new record but for update reasons only!

    - "INSERT" button, inserts record on a screen to the "rdf" file to specified in the navigation footer place.

    - "ADD" button, adds current record to the end of "rdf" file if the field "to:" is empty. Otherwise, put an URL (copy from Address Bar of your Internet Browser with "http://" prefix) into "to:" field. Thus, you change destination file and add the record to that file if the record was not in your "rdf" file before, or save a copy of the record to the destination file.

    Navigation footer

    1   < 15 <     > 17 >   58
You may see here previous, current, next and the last record numbers. Type desirable record number and press "ENTER" to go to that record, or click on a link aside. Using it with "INSERT" or "SAVE" button you can make changes directly to the pointed record. For example, to insert current record as 8-th to your file, type "8" and press "INSERT" button. It is possible to directly overwrite n-th record by pressing "SAVE" then. WARNING: roll back is impossible!

    How to search

    NMR_ID:
Click on a checkbox at any data field and look at the navigation controls. For example, to move to the first record with "NMR_ID" field containing "173" just click on "> find >" link. A number between "> find >" links is a start point. NOTE! Search will be performed only from the next record after the start point.
